24th / Today!

Sept. 24th

               You guys know what today is, or at least you should have if this guy's promotion was on point, which I believe was cause he was every fucking where, Drake's album release!!! You guys know I got the album, same day, 2am....lol. Most of you had already downloaded it for free cause it was leaked! For promotion I've come to believe, because a lot of albums leak, but still get album sales. I think they aren't really worried about album sales anymore, they get most of their money from tours, and when the people know your music before your tour, it's already a wrap!

               He was releasing tracks throughout the week, about 2 or 3, so I had already heard about 5 tracks off the album, i'm listening on the drive to work yesterday the first time in sequence, didn't get to the end, so I heard the rest in the car on the way back, album was dope, but I couldn't help but feel like, speaking of a whole body of work, J. Cole had a better project.

              I think he knew, after winning a grammy for it, that it would be hard to out-do "Take Care!" That album was insane. He's definitely got some bangers on Nothing was the same! What caught me the most, were his beats, they were unorthodox, and different, while at the same time, the same. They just sounded so different and clean, and the bass was just right, beats had me in love. While he was claiming this to be a rap album, while listening I had to say otherwise. I see that he was trying to rap more, but still rapped about the same amount he did on take care, so I couldn't agree with this being a rap album, at least in the way he was trying to say it. Some people say he's not a rapper, I beg to differ, cause when this man goes off, he goes off.

Sept. 25th

               I just got done warming up last nights dinner, I was supposed to blog to you guys last night about the above, but I was a lil' busy. two days to my guys mix tape release, "The notebook!" Go check that out, Distance Deceives is almost ready for you guys! This tape is going to be so crazy, got a couple more visuals coming your way, maybe a few more tracks to, I've been getting asked to drop something new and I just stumbled upon some new beats. Made me want to write to the right then and there lol.

               Funny how when you learn things in life, you start to see it in life, goes back to "what you learn, you never forget!" With that being said, i'm pretty sure if we all thought hard enough we could remember each and every moment of our lives, adolescence and all. I challenge you, pick up a book, any book, learn something from it, and see if it doesn't cross you within the next week of your life.....Ready....GO!
